Getting stairwell fire doors fitted in West Midlands
Our West Midlands service covers stairwell fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton.
Which rules apply in West Midlands?
Fire doors in West Midlands sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Cost of stairwell fire doors in West Midlands
Our guide price for stairwell fire doors in West Midlands is £850 to £1,400 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.
