Commercial & Office Fire Doors

Commercial fire doors protect corridors, stairs and risk rooms in offices, shops, hotels and other workplaces. They are usually FD30 or FD30S, often veneered or glazed for appearance, and increasingly fitted with access control — which must be tested with the doorset to keep its certification.

Guide price £850–£1,500 per single doorset, supplied & fitted, ex VAT. Fixed after survey.

Fit-outs and refurbishments

On office fit-outs the door schedule is often the last thing to be finalised. We work from your architect's schedule or survey the building, then quote each doorset with its certification so your fire strategy and the fit-out programme line up.

Access control without voiding the door

Cutting a fire door for an electric lock, maglock or cable loop changes the tested assembly. We supply doorsets prepared for your access control, using components covered by the evidence, and coordinate with your security installer.

Duties under the Fire Safety Order

In non-domestic premises the responsible person must keep fire doors in efficient working order under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and NI legislation apply elsewhere). Failed doors identified by your fire risk assessment are a typical starting point for a replacement quote.

Commercial fire doors questions

Can I add access control to my fire doors?

Yes, using hardware covered by the doorset's evidence. Retro-fitting untested components can void certification.

Do office fire doors need vision panels?

Doors across corridors and doors that swing into circulation routes usually should, for safety and accessibility.

What finish options are there?

Real wood veneers, laminates and paint-grade finishes, all available on certified doorsets.

Can you work out of hours?

We can arrange evening or weekend fitting for occupied commercial premises — just tell us at survey.
