Stairwell fire doors in Birmingham: how we work
Need stairwell fire doors in Birmingham? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across West Midlands, starting with a free measure survey in and around B3. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
We cover Birmingham and the rest of West Midlands, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
Regulations for stairwell fire doors in West Midlands
Fire doors in Birmingham sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Cost of stairwell fire doors in West Midlands
Budget around £850 to £1,400 per single doorset for stairwell fire doors supplied and fitted in Birmingham, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
