Security fire doors in Devon: how we work
Throughout Devon, including Plymouth, Exeter and Paignton, we survey, quote and fit fire and security rated doorsets as complete certified doorsets, with the manufacturer's certificate reference on every quote.
Which rules apply in Devon?
Fire doors in Devon sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Guide prices in Devon
Our guide for security fire doors is £1,600–£3,500 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Devon are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.
