Fire door replacement in Devon: how we work
Across Devon we handle fire door replacement for single doors and whole-building programmes alike — survey, fixed quote, certified doorsets and careful installation.
Regulations for fire door replacement in Devon
Because Devon is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of fire door replacement in Devon
Budget around £750 to £1,150 per doorset for fire door replacement supplied and fitted in Devon, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
Typical uses in Devon
Devon's demand comes from Plymouth's post-war city centre and naval estate, Exeter's offices and student housing, and coastal hotels.
