Our Devon supply and fit service
We supply and fit riser cupboard fire doors across Devon, including Plymouth, Exeter and Paignton. Every job starts with a free measure survey and ends with a handover pack listing each certified doorset fitted.
What the law says in Devon
Fire doors in Devon sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Guide prices in Devon
Budget around £550 to £950 per single doorset for riser cupboard fire doors supplied and fitted in Devon, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
Typical uses in Devon
Devon's demand comes from Plymouth's post-war city centre and naval estate, Exeter's offices and student housing, and coastal hotels.
