Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Surrey buildings
Across Surrey we handle fire rated glazed screens for single doors and whole-building programmes alike — survey, fixed quote, certified doorsets and careful installation.
Which rules apply in Surrey?
In Surrey, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Surrey
Our guide price for fire rated glazed screens in Surrey is £1,400 to £4,500 per screen including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.

Fire rated glazed screens in Surrey: questions
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset.
Do you cover the whole of Surrey?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens across Surrey, including Woking, Guildford and Esher.
Can screens be added to an existing fire door?
Only as part of a tested or assessed assembly. Usually the door and screen are replaced together.
