Fire door rules in Surrey
In Surrey, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
FD30S fire doors prices in Surrey
Our guide for FD30S fire doors is £800–£1,250 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Surrey are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.

Common questions in Surrey
Do you cover the whole of Surrey?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit FD30S fire doors across Surrey, including Woking, Guildford and Esher.
Which rules apply in Surrey?
Doors are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
What is the difference between FD30 and FD30S?
Both resist fire for 30 minutes. FD30S also has tested smoke seals that limit cold smoke passing around the leaf before the intumescent strip activates.
