Throughout Surrey, including Woking, Guildford and Esher, we survey, quote and fit timber fire doorsets in paint, laminate and veneer as complete certified doorsets, with the manufacturer's certificate reference on every quote.
Fire door rules in Surrey
New and replacement fire doors in Surrey are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Cost of timber fire doors in Surrey
Our guide for timber fire doors is £750–£1,600 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Surrey are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
