Fire door rules in Surrey
New and replacement fire doors in Surrey are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
Riser cupboard fire doors prices in Surrey
Guide prices for riser cupboard fire doors in Surrey run from about £550 to £950 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
If your fire risk assessment lists specific doors, send it with your enquiry and we'll price exactly those openings.

Common questions in Surrey
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
How quickly can you survey in Surrey?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in Surrey. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
What rating does a riser door need?
In England, Approved Document B generally asks for at least half the fire resistance of the shaft wall, with a 30-minute minimum — so FD30 is typical, rising to FD60 for 120-minute shafts. Your fire strategy confirms it.
