Regulations for commercial fire doors in Herefordshire
New and replacement fire doors in Herefordshire are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
What do commercial fire doors cost in Herefordshire?
Guide prices for commercial fire doors in Herefordshire run from about £850 to £1,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.

Common questions in Herefordshire
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Which rules apply in Herefordshire?
Doors are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Do office fire doors need vision panels?
Doors across corridors and doors that swing into circulation routes usually should, for safety and accessibility.
