Commercial & Office Fire Doors for East Sussex buildings
Throughout East Sussex, including Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings, we survey, quote and fit commercial and office fire doorsets as complete certified doorsets, with the manufacturer's certificate reference on every quote.
Regulations for commercial fire doors in East Sussex
In East Sussex, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Cost of commercial fire doors in East Sussex
Budget around £850 to £1,500 per single doorset for commercial fire doors supplied and fitted in East Sussex, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.
Where commercial fire doors are used in East Sussex
Brighton and Hove's converted Regency and Victorian houses make it one of England's biggest HMO and flat-conversion markets; Eastbourne and Hastings add hotels and care homes.

Your questions answered
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
How quickly can you survey in East Sussex?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in East Sussex. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can I add access control to my fire doors?
Yes, using hardware covered by the doorset's evidence. Retro-fitting untested components can void certification.
