Certified commercial fire doors for Bedfordshire
Across Bedfordshire we handle commercial fire doors for single doors and whole-building programmes alike — survey, fixed quote, certified doorsets and careful installation.
Fire door rules in Bedfordshire
In Bedfordshire, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Guide prices in Bedfordshire
Guide prices for commercial fire doors in Bedfordshire run from about £850 to £1,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Buildings that need commercial fire doors
Bedfordshire mixes Luton's dense housing and town-centre flats with Bedford's Victorian terraces, many now converted to flats and HMOs.
