Commercial & Office Fire Doors for Hertfordshire buildings
Our Hertfordshire service covers commercial fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Watford, Hemel Hempstead and Stevenage.
Which rules apply in Hertfordshire?
Because Hertfordshire is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Commercial fire doors prices in Hertfordshire
Guide prices for commercial fire doors in Hertfordshire run from about £850 to £1,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.

Your questions answered
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset.
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Can you work out of hours?
We can arrange evening or weekend fitting for occupied commercial premises — just tell us at survey.
