Commercial fire doors in Gwent: how we work
Our Gwent service covers commercial fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Newport, Cwmbran and Pontypool.
Fire door rules in Gwent
In Gwent the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.
Commercial fire doors prices in Gwent
Guide prices for commercial fire doors in Gwent run from about £850 to £1,500 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
Buildings that need commercial fire doors

Your questions answered
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Can you work out of hours?
We can arrange evening or weekend fitting for occupied commercial premises — just tell us at survey.
