Which rules apply in Gwent?
Fire doors in Gwent are covered by the Welsh Building Regulations guidance for new work and by the Fire Safety Order 2005 for existing premises. Your fire risk assessment will say which doors need replacing and to what rating.
What do FD30S fire doors cost in Gwent?
Our guide price for FD30S fire doors in Gwent is £800 to £1,250 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Common questions in Gwent
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you cover the whole of Gwent?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit FD30S fire doors across Gwent, including Newport, Cwmbran and Pontypool.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
What is the difference between FD30 and FD30S?
Both resist fire for 30 minutes. FD30S also has tested smoke seals that limit cold smoke passing around the leaf before the intumescent strip activates.
