Commercial & Office Fire Doors for Pontypool buildings
We fit commercial and office fire doorsets in Pontypool and the rest of Gwent. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Pontypool is about 8 miles from Newport; we cover both, along with Cwmbran, Risca and Newport.
Which rules apply in Pontypool?
In Pontypool the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.
Cost of commercial fire doors in Gwent
Expect roughly £850–£1,500 per single doorset for commercial fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Pontypool quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
