Our Powys supply and fit service
We supply and fit riser cupboard fire doors across Powys, including Newtown and Brecon. Every job starts with a free measure survey and ends with a handover pack listing each certified doorset fitted.
Fire door rules in Powys
In Powys the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.
Guide prices in Powys
Expect roughly £550–£950 per single doorset for riser cupboard fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Powys quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.

Questions about riser cupboard fire doors in Powys
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Which rules apply in Powys?
Doors are specified to Approved Document B (Wales) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Do you fire-stop the riser itself?
Fire-stopping is specialist work outside our doorset scope, but we report gaps we see so you can get them addressed.
