Certified school fire doors for Powys
Our Powys service covers school fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Newtown and Brecon.
Regulations for school fire doors in Powys
In Powys the specification follows Approved Document B as published for Wales, while day-to-day duties to keep fire doors working come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The England-only door-check regulations of 2022 don't apply in Wales, but regular checks remain good practice and are expected by fire risk assessors.
What do school fire doors cost in Powys?
Expect roughly £1,100–£2,400 per doorset for school fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Powys quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
If your fire risk assessment lists specific doors, send it with your enquiry and we'll price exactly those openings.

Questions about school fire doors in Powys
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
How quickly can you survey in Powys?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in Powys. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
What size doors do care settings need?
Corridor doors often need leaf-and-a-half or wide single doorsets for beds and wheelchairs. We measure and propose clear widths that suit.
