Timber Fire Doorsets for Somerset buildings
We supply and fit timber fire doors across Somerset, including Bath, Weston-super-Mare and Taunton. Every job starts with a free measure survey and ends with a handover pack listing each certified doorset fitted.
Regulations for timber fire doors in Somerset
Fire doors in Somerset sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Cost of timber fire doors in Somerset
Expect roughly £750–£1,600 per single doorset for timber fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Somerset quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
