Our Catford supply and fit service
We cover Catford and nearby Blackheath for fire rated glazed screens, with surveys booked around your building's access and occupancy. Each door is quoted individually, so you can see what every opening costs and why.
Whether your building is in central Catford or on its edges towards Blackheath, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Which rules apply in Catford?
In Catford, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Catford?
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Catford, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.
Typical uses in Catford
In Catford, fire rated glazed screens are typically needed in stair enclosure screens and corridor borrowed lights.

Fire rated glazed screens in Catford: questions
Can you fit just one door in Catford?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Greater London.
What does a Catford quote include?
Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Catford?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Steel or timber screens?
Both are available. Timber matches timber doorsets; steel suits slim sightlines and higher ratings.
