Certified fire rated glazed screens for Cambridgeshire
Throughout Cambridgeshire, including Peterborough, Cambridge and Wisbech, we survey, quote and fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights as complete certified doorsets, with the manufacturer's certificate reference on every quote.
Fire door rules in Cambridgeshire
In Cambridgeshire, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Cost of fire rated glazed screens in Cambridgeshire
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Cambridgeshire quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Your questions answered
Which rules apply in Cambridgeshire?
Doors are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
How quickly can you survey in Cambridgeshire?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in Cambridgeshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Steel or timber screens?
Both are available. Timber matches timber doorsets; steel suits slim sightlines and higher ratings.
