Stairwell fire doors in Cambridgeshire: how we work
Our Cambridgeshire service covers stairwell fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Peterborough, Cambridge and Wisbech.
Regulations for stairwell fire doors in Cambridgeshire
Because Cambridgeshire is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Cost of stairwell fire doors in Cambridgeshire
Expect roughly £850–£1,400 per single doorset for stairwell fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Cambridgeshire quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.

Your questions answered
How quickly can you survey in Cambridgeshire?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in Cambridgeshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can you work around tenants or staff?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
What signs do stair doors need?
Most need 'Fire door keep shut' on both faces. Automatic doors on hold-open devices need 'Automatic fire door keep clear'.
