Regulations for fire door installation in Tyne and Wear
Fire doors in Tyne and Wear sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Guide prices in Tyne and Wear
Our guide for fire door installation is £750–£1,150 per FD30 doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Tyne and Wear are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
