What the law says in North Yorkshire
Fire doors in North Yorkshire sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Cost of acoustic fire doors in North Yorkshire
Our guide for acoustic fire doors is £1,100–£2,000 per single doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for North Yorkshire are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
