Fire Exit Doors for North Yorkshire buildings
Across North Yorkshire we handle fire exit doors for single doors and whole-building programmes alike — survey, fixed quote, certified doorsets and careful installation.
What the law says in North Yorkshire
In North Yorkshire, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Cost of fire exit doors in North Yorkshire
Guide prices for fire exit doors in North Yorkshire run from about £1,200 to £2,200 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Guide prices assume straightforward access; out-of-hours working or difficult access is priced as a separate, visible line.

Questions about fire exit doors in North Yorkshire
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset.
Can a fire exit door be locked?
Not in a way that prevents instant exit without a key while the building is occupied. Panic and emergency exit hardware achieves security and escape together.
