Getting security fire doors fitted in East Sussex
We supply and fit security fire doors across East Sussex, including Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings. Every job starts with a free measure survey and ends with a handover pack listing each certified doorset fitted.
What the law says in East Sussex
In East Sussex, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do security fire doors cost in East Sussex?
Expect roughly £1,600–£3,500 per single doorset for security fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your East Sussex quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Common questions in East Sussex
How quickly can you survey in East Sussex?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in East Sussex. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Can any fire door be made secure?
Adding security hardware to a fire door without evidence can void its fire rating. Choose a doorset certified for both.
