Stairwell fire doors in Kent: how we work
Throughout Kent, including Maidstone, Gillingham and Chatham, we survey, quote and fit doors onto protected stairs and escape routes as complete certified doorsets, with the manufacturer's certificate reference on every quote.
Which rules apply in Kent?
Fire doors in Kent sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Stairwell fire doors prices in Kent
Expect roughly £850–£1,400 per single doorset for stairwell fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Kent quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
