Our Margate supply and fit service
We fit doors onto protected stairs and escape routes in Margate and the rest of Kent. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
We cover CT9 and the surrounding area, including Broadstairs. Tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Fire door rules in Margate
Because Margate is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
Guide prices in Margate
Expect roughly £850–£1,400 per single doorset for stairwell fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your Margate quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
