Stairwell & Escape Route Doors for Essex buildings
We supply and fit stairwell fire doors across Essex, including Southend-on-Sea, Basildon and Colchester. Every job starts with a free measure survey and ends with a handover pack listing each certified doorset fitted.
Which rules apply in Essex?
Fire doors in Essex sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Stairwell fire doors prices in Essex
Budget around £850 to £1,400 per single doorset for stairwell fire doors supplied and fitted in Essex, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
If your fire risk assessment lists specific doors, send it with your enquiry and we'll price exactly those openings.
