Fire door rules in Scottish Borders
Scotland has its own system: new and replacement fire doors in Scottish Borders are designed to the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the Technical Handbooks (Section 2, Fire). For non-domestic premises, the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 place duties on whoever controls the building.
Cost of school fire doors in Scottish Borders
Our guide for school fire doors is £1,100–£2,400 per doorset fitted, ex VAT. Quotes for Scottish Borders are fixed once we've measured, and include removing and disposing of old doors where they're being replaced.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
