What the law says in Scottish Borders
Fire doors in Scottish Borders follow Scottish building standards for new work, with the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 covering duties in workplaces and other non-domestic premises. Shared residential buildings may also be covered by licensing conditions, for example for HMOs.
What do stairwell fire doors cost in Scottish Borders?
Our guide price for stairwell fire doors in Scottish Borders is £850 to £1,400 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
