Flat entrance fire doors in Scottish Borders: how we work
Our Scottish Borders service covers flat entrance fire doors for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Hawick and Galashiels.
What the law says in Scottish Borders
In Scottish Borders the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.
What do flat entrance fire doors cost in Scottish Borders?
Guide prices for flat entrance fire doors in Scottish Borders run from about £1,250 to £2,300 per door, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
Where flat entrance fire doors are needed

Flat entrance fire doors in Scottish Borders: questions
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Is the survey free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
How quickly can you survey in Scottish Borders?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in Scottish Borders. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Can I fit my own new front door to my flat?
Only with a doorset that meets the building's fire and smoke requirements, and usually with the freeholder's consent. A non-compliant replacement can put the whole building at risk.
