Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Merseyside buildings
Our Merseyside service covers fire rated glazed screens for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Liverpool, Birkenhead and St Helens.
Fire door rules in Merseyside
Fire doors in Merseyside sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Fire rated glazed screens prices in Merseyside
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Merseyside, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Your questions answered
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Do you cover the whole of Merseyside?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens across Merseyside, including Liverpool, Birkenhead and St Helens.
How quickly can you survey in Merseyside?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine visits with other work in Merseyside. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
