Getting fire rated glazed screens fitted in Dumfries
We fit fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights in Dumfries and the rest of Dumfries & Galloway. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
We cover Dumfries and the rest of Dumfries & Galloway, with surveys arranged around your building's access and occupancy.
Which rules apply in Dumfries?
In Dumfries the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.
Guide prices in Dumfries
Guide prices for fire rated glazed screens in Dumfries run from about £1,400 to £4,500 per screen, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
