Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Workington buildings
We cover Workington and nearby Whitehaven for fire rated glazed screens, with surveys booked around your building's access and occupancy. Each door is quoted individually, so you can see what every opening costs and why.
Workington is about 30 miles from Carlisle. Wherever your building is in CA14, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
What the law says in Workington
New and replacement fire doors in Workington are specified under the Building Regulations 2010 and Approved Document B. In workplaces and the common parts of blocks of flats, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person keep fire doors in working order, and in residential buildings with a storey above 11 metres regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adds quarterly checks of communal doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Workington?
Guide prices for fire rated glazed screens in Workington run from about £1,400 to £4,500 per screen, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Fire rated glazed screens in Workington: questions
Can you work around tenants or staff in Workington?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Workington.
Is the survey in Workington free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
Can screens be very large?
Size limits depend on the screen system's evidence. Larger screens may need intermediate mullions or transoms.
