Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in Dumfries & Galloway

In Dumfries & Galloway the building standards come from the Scottish Technical Handbooks rather than Approved Document B, and existing non-domestic premises fall under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We specify doorsets against the Scottish requirements and your fire risk assessment.

What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Dumfries & Galloway?

Guide prices for fire rated glazed screens in Dumfries & Galloway run from about £1,400 to £4,500 per screen, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in Dumfries & Galloway

Can you fit just one door?

Yes — from a single door to a full building.

Do you cover the whole of Dumfries & Galloway?

Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens across Dumfries & Galloway, including Dumfries.

Can you work around tenants or staff?

Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.

Steel or timber screens?

Both are available. Timber matches timber doorsets; steel suits slim sightlines and higher ratings.
