Certified FD90 and FD120 fire doors for North Shields
Looking for FD90 and FD120 fire doors in North Shields? Our supply and fit service covers NE30 and the surrounding area, including Tynemouth and South Shields. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
Where possible we combine North Shields surveys with other visits in Tyne and Wear, such as Tynemouth and South Shields, which helps keep survey dates flexible.
Fire door rules in North Shields
Fire doors in North Shields sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Cost of FD90 and FD120 fire doors in Tyne and Wear
Budget around £1,900 to £3,800 per single doorset for FD90 and FD120 fire doors supplied and fitted in North Shields, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
