Security fire doors in North Shields: how we work
Need security fire doors in North Shields? We supply and fit complete certified doorsets across Tyne and Wear, starting with a free measure survey in and around NE30. Every quote lists each door, its rating and the manufacturer's certificate reference, so you know exactly what is going in before anything is ordered.
Whether your building is in central North Shields or on its edges towards Tynemouth, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Regulations for security fire doors in Tyne and Wear
In North Shields, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Guide prices in North Shields
Budget around £1,600 to £3,500 per single doorset for security fire doors supplied and fitted in North Shields, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
