Getting FD30S fire doors fitted in Eltham
We fit FD30S smoke control doorsets for flats, stairs and corridors in Eltham and the rest of Greater London. The process is simple: we survey and measure each opening, propose a certified doorset for it, and give you a fixed price. Fitting is booked once the doorsets are made, usually with no door left out of action overnight.
Eltham is about 9 miles from London; we cover both, along with Blackheath, Welling and Catford.
Regulations for FD30S fire doors in Greater London
In Eltham, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
FD30S fire doors prices in Eltham
Guide prices for FD30S fire doors in Eltham run from about £800 to £1,250 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.
Where FD30S fire doors are needed
Integral garage doors and cross-corridor doors are among the most common settings for FD30S fire doors, in Eltham as elsewhere.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
- Integral garage doors
- Cross-corridor doors
- Protected stairways
- Lobby doors in blocks of flats
