Our Eltham supply and fit service
Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits fire door replacement in Eltham, Greater London. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.
Our Greater London coverage includes Eltham and its neighbours Blackheath, Welling and Catford; tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Regulations for fire door replacement in Greater London
In Eltham, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Fire door replacement prices in Eltham
Budget around £750 to £1,150 per doorset for fire door replacement supplied and fitted in Eltham, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Central and inner London work can cost a little more where parking, loading restrictions or out-of-hours access apply; we show any access costs as a separate line.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.
Buildings that need fire door replacement
Doors with no evidence of rating and regulation 10 remedial work are among the most common settings for fire door replacement, in Eltham as elsewhere.
London has the UK's largest concentration of purpose-built flats and high-rise residential blocks, so flat entrance doors, communal corridor doors and regulation 10 checks drive much of the demand.
