Certified doorsets for Luton
In Luton we fit fire doors for freeholders, managing agents, landlords, businesses and homeowners. Each job starts with a free survey in LU1 and ends with a handover pack for your records.
Surveys in Luton are booked around your access needs, and we cover the wider Bedfordshire area too.
What the law says in Luton
In Luton, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
Bedfordshire mixes Luton's dense housing and town-centre flats with Bedford's Victorian terraces, many now converted to flats and HMOs.

Questions about fire doors in Luton
What does a Luton quote include?
Survey, certified doorset, ironmongery, installation, removal of old doors and a handover pack. VAT is added at the standard rate.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Luton?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Which rules do fire doors in Luton need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Can you work around tenants or staff in Luton?
Yes. We phase work in occupied buildings and keep escape routes available. Each door is planned to be removed and replaced the same day; if that isn't possible, the opening is made secure and we tell you in advance.
