Regulations for acoustic fire doors in Bedfordshire

Because Luton is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.

What do acoustic fire doors cost in Luton?

Our guide price for acoustic fire doors in Luton is £1,100 to £2,000 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.

The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

How quickly can you survey in Luton?

We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Luton visits with other work in Bedfordshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.

Can you fit just one door in Luton?

Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Bedfordshire.

Do acoustic seals affect the fire rating?

They can if untested. We only use seals covered by the doorset's fire evidence.
