Commercial fire doors in North Shields: how we work
Fire Rated Doors supplies and fits commercial fire doors in North Shields, Tyne and Wear. Whether it's a single replacement or every door in a block, we start by surveying the openings and end with a handover pack listing each doorset and its certificate reference.
We cover NE30 and the surrounding area, including Tynemouth. Tell us your postcode and preferred dates and we'll confirm a survey slot.
Which rules apply in North Shields?
In North Shields, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do commercial fire doors cost in North Shields?
Expect roughly £850–£1,500 per single doorset for commercial fire doors, fitted, ex VAT. Your North Shields quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
