Our North Shields supply and fit service
Looking for fire exit doors in North Shields? Our supply and fit service covers NE30 and the surrounding area, including Tynemouth and South Shields. We quote complete doorsets — leaf, frame, seals, hinges and closer — because that is what the fire certification actually covers.
North Shields is about 7 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne. Wherever your building is in NE30, we arrange survey and fitting dates around access and occupancy.
Fire door rules in North Shields
Fire doors in North Shields sit under English rules: Approved Document B sets what goes in, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 covers keeping doors effective in non-domestic premises and shared parts of residential buildings, and the 2022 regulations require regular door checks in residential buildings taller than 11 metres. Higher-risk buildings — 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes — also come under the Building Safety Act 2022.
