Fire-Rated Screens & Fanlights for Coventry buildings
For landlords, managing agents, businesses and homeowners in Coventry, we provide fire-rated glazed screens and fanlights with one fixed quote. A free survey comes first, then a door-by-door schedule, then installation to the manufacturer's instructions and a handover pack for your records.
Whether your building is in central Coventry or on its edges towards Kenilworth, survey and fitting dates are arranged around your access needs, with occupied buildings worked in planned phases.
Regulations for fire rated glazed screens in West Midlands
Because Coventry is in England, the starting point is Approved Document B for the specification and the Fire Safety Order 2005 for ongoing duties. Blocks with a storey above 11 metres also fall under regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: communal fire doors checked at least every three months, flat front doors at least every year.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Coventry?
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your Coventry quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
We show each door's price separately, so if budget is tight you can phase the work and start with the doors your fire risk assessment prioritises.
Buildings that need fire rated glazed screens
Stair enclosure screens and corridor borrowed lights are among the most common settings for fire rated glazed screens, in Coventry as elsewhere.
Birmingham has one of the UK's largest collections of residential tower blocks and city-centre apartments, with the Black Country towns adding industry, schools and HMOs.
- Stair enclosure screens
- Corridor borrowed lights

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in Coventry
Will I get certificates for the doors fitted in Coventry?
Every doorset is listed in your handover pack with the manufacturer's certificate reference, plus an installation record and photos.
Is the survey in Coventry free?
Yes. We measure and schedule your doors at no cost and send a fixed, itemised quote.
How quickly can you survey in Coventry?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Coventry visits with other work in West Midlands. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
