What the law says in Nuneaton
In Nuneaton, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in Nuneaton?
Budget around £1,400 to £4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens supplied and fitted in Nuneaton, excluding VAT. We price each opening separately so nothing is hidden in a lump sum.
Each quote covers the certified doorset, standard ironmongery, fitting, removal of the old door and a handover record; anything outside that scope is shown as a separate line before you accept.

Fire rated glazed screens in Nuneaton: questions
How quickly can you survey in Nuneaton?
We arrange surveys around your access needs and, where possible, combine Nuneaton visits with other work in Warwickshire. Tell us your preferred dates when you enquire.
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Nuneaton.
Which rules do fire rated glazed screens in Nuneaton need to meet?
They are specified to Approved Document B (England) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
