Our West Glamorgan service covers fire rated glazed screens for flats, HMOs, workplaces, schools and homes, including Swansea, Neath and Briton Ferry.
Which rules apply in West Glamorgan?
Wales issues its own version of Approved Document B, so new and replacement fire doors in West Glamorgan are specified against the Welsh guidance. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, covering workplaces and the common parts of multi-occupied residential buildings, including flat entrance doors.
What do fire rated glazed screens cost in West Glamorgan?
Expect roughly £1,400–£4,500 per screen for fire rated glazed screens, fitted, ex VAT. Your West Glamorgan quote is fixed after survey and itemised door by door.
Made-to-measure sizes for older openings, vision panels and upgraded hardware are the usual reasons a door sits towards the top of the range.

Questions about fire rated glazed screens in West Glamorgan
Can you fit just one door?
Yes — from a single door to a full building.
Do you cover the whole of West Glamorgan?
Yes. We survey, supply and fit fire rated glazed screens across West Glamorgan, including Swansea, Neath and Briton Ferry.
Which rules apply in West Glamorgan?
Doors are specified to Approved Document B (Wales) and your fire risk assessment or fire strategy. We confirm the rating of each door at survey.
Does a fanlight above a fire door need to be fire-rated?
Yes, if it is part of the fire-resisting wall or door assembly. Ordinary glass above a fire door defeats the door.
