What the law says in West Glamorgan
Wales issues its own version of Approved Document B, so new and replacement fire doors in West Glamorgan are specified against the Welsh guidance. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, covering workplaces and the common parts of multi-occupied residential buildings, including flat entrance doors.
Acoustic fire doors prices in West Glamorgan
Guide prices for acoustic fire doors in West Glamorgan run from about £1,100 to £2,000 per single doorset, supplied and fitted, ex VAT. Size, glazing, finish and ironmongery move the price, and the survey quote is fixed.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.
