What the law says in Cheshunt
In Cheshunt, as across England, Approved Document B governs new work and the Fire Safety Order 2005 governs existing premises. Note that Approved Document B is removing the BS 476 fire-resistance test references on 2 September 2029, so specifications are moving to EN classifications such as E30 Sa.
FD60 fire doors prices in Cheshunt
Our guide price for FD60 fire doors in Cheshunt is £1,050 to £1,650 per single doorset including fitting, ex VAT. Non-standard sizes, veneers, vision panels and access control push towards the top of the range.
The biggest price drivers are leaf size, glazing, finish and ironmongery; upper floors without lifts and restricted parking can also affect fitting cost.

Common questions in Hertfordshire
Do you remove the old doors?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and frame is included when we replace a doorset in Cheshunt.
Do you work for landlords and managing agents in Cheshunt?
Yes. We can schedule doors flat by flat, send quotes per property and invoice the managing agent or freeholder.
Can you fit just one door in Cheshunt?
Yes — from a single door to a full building. Where possible, small jobs are scheduled alongside other visits in Hertfordshire.
Can I use an FD60 door where FD30 is required?
Yes — a higher rating meets a lower requirement — but it is heavier and dearer, so we only recommend it where the location calls for it or you want a margin.
